grodog talking Iggwilv in Greyhawk on caslTawk @ Monday night 8pm EDT

I think that this Twitch.TV/live-streaming thing may be starting to click for me, but you'll have another opportunity to judge for yourself, since carlos "casl Entertainment" lising has invited me to join him and his Patreon sponsors in their October discussion tomorrow night:

Tune into our Twitch channel for a chat between carlos "The Rook" lising and Greyhawk scholar Allan T. Grohe Jr., who will be discussing the casl Entertainment Patreon topic for the month of October: Demons and the Witch-Queen, Iggwilv!

Monday, September 30, 2019 at 8 PM – 9 PM EDT on    www.twitch.tv/caslentertainment

I don't know exactly what Carlos and his crew of patrons will dig into for the agenda, but I'm sure it will be a fun discussion---what could possibly go wrong, when you start to mix up Iggwilv, demons, and the World of Greyhawk? ;)

Edit:  the replay can be watched on YouTube at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CuZ3eOSrabE&feature=youtu.be:

  1. I would be there, Allan, but my daughter is flying in tonight. Igwilv is one of my fave topics related to Greyhawk so I hope I can listen to it after the fact.

    1. You'll definitely be able to listen to it, Anthony! After the chat, not only will it be up on Twitch (www.twitch.tv/caslEntertainment) for 10 days, but I'll have it on YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCRgkwvXnMD2BJIqzaZdxQNg?view_as=subscriber), as well!

  2. This was a fantastic talk. Listened to it over lunch. I LOVE the idea of Tiamat being changed to a demon, especially in light of the demonic/draconic ideas I've been putting together for the next campaign arc (after the current one wraps). Igwilv, herself, is of particular interest to me. When I went to Gen Con 19, asking Gary at an open symposium about her level was THE question I chose to ask. Also agree that the malleability/mystery of a campaign's setting and major players is also what makes both so compelling.

I am UTTERLY sad not to be going to Gary Con this year. I do love it better than NTX. But maybe there's another time or place to play in the extended Caverns. Also wish you lived in Texas instead of so far north!

    1. Hi Anthony---

Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed the discussion!

My version of Tiamat is somewhat written up on Canonfire! at http://www.canonfire.com/cf/modules.php?name=News&file=article&sid=215 if you want to check it out. And the rest of my pieces there are at http://www.canonfire.com/cf/modules.php?name=Your_Account&op=userinfo&bypass=1&username=grodog, with my demonic genealogy at http://www.canonfire.com/cf/modules.php?name=News&file=article&sid=203 to put my version of Tiamat into context, in terms of the power of the Firstborn. (Looking at Baphomet, Alrunes, Fraz, and The Cabrir in the CF! articles will also help).

With respect to Iggwilv, she's still a favorite, and I plan to run my Warped Caverns at NTX next year, too. Hopefully you'll be able to attend NTX, even if GaryCon's not in the cards? And FWIW, Wichita's only 8 hours north of Austin, so it's definitely manageable to drive if you wanted to come up to game over a long weekend sometime (and we do have TsunamiCon here in a few weeks, too!).

      Allan.

  3. I like that the XP for Tiamat is "I can't count that high"
